Kpop group 4minutes UNLEASHED!

Before the newly vamped girl group 4Minutes could even debut, their upcoming single has already caused controversies through the Kpop realm. Their upcoming debut song along with their teaser video, has caused netizens & overseas fans to scream out: Plagiarism.

So what’s all the fuss?

Let’s break down the rumours.

No.1 – Their debut single is dubbed “Hot Issue” causing VIP fans to say that they jacked the name off Big Bang’s 2nd mini album “Hot Issue.”

No.2 – Their teaser is not even similar but totally like Mary J. Blidge’s iPod CF from 2007.

No.3 - 2NE1 fans have said that 4minutes style has too much 2NE1 in them.

I can see how some of these might cause ripples of anger but for there’s a couple of things that were noted when the controveries arised. JYP is known for producing for some of the hottest acts over in the States and Cube Entertainment is the sister company to JYP, so them having a lot of American influences isn’t that hard to see. Other people have just simply stated that “Imatation is the sincerest form of flattery” but they should debut with something “fresh.” I do agree with others that they should’ve put out another concept for their teaser because it has iPod written all over for it. As for the debut, we’ll just have to see if they can live up to their hype.
